Brett Helm is the leader of DB CyberTech's strategic direction and is responsible for implementing the company’s long-term goals. Brett is a serial entrepreneur in web-based analytics and networking optimization companies and has successfully led companies from pre-funding through product development to market acceptance. Brett was CEO of Coradiant specializing in web application performance management which was acquired by BMC Software in 2011. He was the CEO and Founder at IPivot which created the first SSL accelerator and Layer 7-aware traffic management appliances and led its sale to Intel in 1999. Prior to that, Brett served as General Manager at @Work and held sales positions at US West.
Mr. Stensrud has served as a Partner of the SwitchCase Group, a consulting company, the Chairman of InstantEncore.com, a provider of web and mobile technology to the performing arts, and Chairman and Principal at Interactive Fitness Holdings, a designer and manufacturer of virtual stationary bicycles. From January 2007 to March 2007, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Muze, Inc., a provider of business-to-business digital commerce solutions and descriptive entertainment media information. Mr. Stensrud was a general partner with the venture capital firm of Enterprise Partners from January 1997 to December 2006. Mr. Stensrud was an independent investor and turn-around executive from March 1996 to January 1997. During this period, Mr. Stensrud served as President of Paradyne Corporation and as a director of Paradyne Corporation, Paradyne Partners LLP and GlobeSpan Corporation, Inc. (acquired by Conexant, Inc.), all data networking companies. From January 1992 to July 1995, Mr. Stensrud served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Primary Access Corporation, a data networking company acquired by 3Com Corporation. From 1986 to 1992, Mr. Stensrud served as the Marketing Vice President of StrataCom, which he co-founded. Qualifications Mr. Stensrud's years of experience in venture capital and in the management of a wide variety of technology companies have exposed him to a broad range of issues affecting businesses, including a number of businesses in the technology industry. Mr. Stensrud's experience as an operating executive in the telecommunications and data communications industry provides the Board and management with knowledge and perspective on the Company's daily operating challenges. His work has included analyzing and focusing on improving various aspects of businesses, including operations, strategies and financial performance.
Mr. Link's operating experience spans three decades and includes leadership roles at four successful startups. He was SVP of Worldwide Sales for Palo Alto Networks. Prior to Palo Alto Networks, Larry was SVP of Sales for Silver Peak Systems. He ran Worldwide Sales at Neoteris from inception through its acquisition by Juniper Networks in April 2004. Prior to Neoteris he was Vice President of Enterprise Sales for Excite@Home from its launch in 1996, through IPO in 1997, and its subsequent merger with Excite in 1999. He earned a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
Joe Zell joined Grotech Ventures in 2002 and focuses on investment opportunities in the IT infrastructure, cloud services, mobile, networking, and internet and digital media sectors.
Prior to joining Grotech, Joe built an extensive, 20-year operating background in communications and data networking, including nine years with US West Communications (which is now CenturyLink), where he was instrumental in building US West’s Data Networking Division from startup to $2.5 billion in revenue and was the president of the division for the last four years as it grew from $300 million in revenue to $2.5 billion. While at US West, Joe was also responsible for managing a $30 million strategic investment fund. It was in this capacity that he began his relationship with Grotech as a result of US West’s A round investment and his board seat at a Grotech portfolio company, USinternetworking. Between US West and Grotech, he served as chief executive officer of Convergent Communications. Prior to US West, he held a variety of management positions at WilTel, LDXNet, United Technologies Communications, MCI Communications and Xerox Corporation.
Joe graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. He is a former member of YPO (Young Presidents Organization) and WPO (World Presidents Organization). Muddu was co-founder and CEO of Cetas (www.cetas.net) which was acquired by VMware in 2012. At EMC (www.emc.com) Muddu was Chief Strategy Advisor, VP & GM for Cloud Information Services. Muddu work involved Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Information Services at EMC. Muddu was CEO & Founder of Kazeon from 2003 to 2010 (www.kazeon.com) which was acquired by EMC (www.emc.com) and Kazeon is leader in Enterprise Information Management. Muddu lead Kazeon to be a leader in Information Security, eDiscovery, and Enterprise Search markets. Before Kazeon in 2003, he was Co-founder & President of Sanera Systems, a next-generation SAN technology company. Sanera was started in 1999 and was acquired by McData (Brocade) in 2003. From 1996 to 2000, Sudhakar was lead architect and designer of CPU and server technology at Silicon Graphics, Inc.
Sudhakar holds a PhD and MS in Computer Science from University of California, Los Angeles and a BS in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He is widely published in industry journals and conference proceedings and has more than 40 patents in Cyber Security, Big data analytics, Machine learning, Analytics, Cloud Services, SaaS Apps, Enterprise Search, Information Management, Distributed systems, Storage technologies, SAN/NAS, Server technologies, Virtualization, Search, Information security, Networking technology and VLSI chip design.
